Actress, Magician and Comedienne Alice d’Lumiere has been a regular performer on the Colchester Arts scene since 2013; a frequent compere for both boutique Night Club “Tea & Sympathy” and the Secret Vintage Fair.
She is a cabaret performer at Steampunk events across the country; perhaps her most enjoyable engagement to date was performing her comedy monologues in the National Space Centre’s Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.
She is well known locally as a performance poet and comedienne who performs both stage and close-up magic. Alice is one of the early members of Nothing Up Our Sleeves.
A trained dressmaker Miss d’Lumiere makes all of her own frocks; she confesses to a particular love of 1950’s retro fashions, Steampunk Victoriana and firmly believes it’s physically impossible for a girl to own too many pairs of tights!
She also has something of an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ obsession which has proved useful for a number of performances…
